NPD (New Product Development) Engineer

Location:  himachal Pradesh

Experience: 4–5 Years

Salary: ₹35,000 – ₹40,000/month (Negotiable based on experience & skill)

Industry Preference: Candidates from Kangaroo, Microturner, Shark, Havells, or any Precision Engineering/Automotive Component Industry

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dynamic and process-oriented NPD Engineer with hands-on experience in Process Engineering and New Product Development. The ideal candidate will play a key role in coordinating development activities from concept to production, ensuring alignment with quality standards and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage NPD projects through all phases—concept, design, prototyping, testing, validation, and production
• Create and manage Development Plans, GANTT Charts, and timelines for new product launches
• Prepare Process Documents, SOPs, Work Instructions (WI), and PPAP documentation as per APQP process
• Ensure documentation is compliant with ISO 9001:2015 standards
• Coordinate with design, quality, production, and procurement teams to ensure timely project completion
• Support product validation, customer approvals, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Maintain technical documentation and ensure version control and traceability
• Analyze processes using quality tools like 5 Why, Fishbone Diagram, FMEA, etc.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Qualification: B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (from a Government Institute preferred)
• Experience: 4–5 years in NPD/Process Engineering roles
• Software & Tools:
  • Proficient in MS Office, AutoCAD
  • Experience in ISO documentation & Quality Management Systems
  • Familiar with PPAP, APQP, and Quality Core Tools
• Strong communication, documentation, and interdepartmental coordination skills
• Problem-solving mindset with keen attention to detail

Preferred Industry Experience:

• Candidates working with Kangaroo, Microturner, Shark, Havells, or similar Precision Engineering companies will be given preference
