About the Role:
We are seeking a strategic and experienced DGM – Plant Operations to oversee the operations of three manufacturing plants. The ideal candidate will be a visionary leader with deep knowledge of plant management, production planning, EHS compliance, and cost optimization—exclusively within the Agrochemical sector.
Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Lead and manage end-to-end operations across three plants, ensuring high productivity and compliance.
🔹 Drive operational excellence by enhancing production capacity, asset utilization, and process flexibility.
🔹 Strategize and execute cost control measures, budgeting, and inventory optimization.
🔹 Monitor daily production yield, ensure energy efficiency, and enforce EHS (Environment, Health & Safety) compliance.
🔹 Ensure production planning aligns with quality and output benchmarks.
🔹 Represent senior management in labor negotiations, union discussions, and government liaison.
🔹 Spearhead recruitment, training, and development of plant personnel.
🔹 Implement and stay updated with the latest production management techniques and technologies.
🔹 Report directly to the Director and play a critical role in shaping long-term operational strategies.
Candidate Requirements:
🎓 Education:
- BE/BTech in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering
- MBA in Operations is a strong advantage
- Proficient in MS Office and production systems
🛠️ Experience & Skills:
- 15+ years in plant and production management within the Agrochemical industry
- Proven ability to lead large-scale teams and multi-unit operations
- Strong leadership, analytical thinking, and conflict resolution skills
- Excellent communication, planning, and organizational capabilities
